Anime Shows [the one you actually WANTED to read]:

The Slayers - The one that started it all for me.
I would never call myself an anime fan based off of just DBZ, since it was on regular Cable.

Yu-Gi-Oh! - Did you have any idea hands could do that?!
Yu-Gi-Oh! is so sweet, I love the plot, the characters, the bad guys, everything. This has to be one of the coolest shows around at the moment.

Revolutionary Girl Utena - "Break the world's shell; For the Revolution of the World!"
I LOVE this show. If YGO's animation is like Jesus, then Utena's animation is God. I swear, combined with an awesome plot and sexual dysfunction galore, the characterization and plot of this anime trumps almost everything I've seen. If you get a chance, it's worth it, even if you just see the movie!

Gokudo - Slayers, if Lina was a man and much less sane.
THIS show is freakin hilarious. I about died - I recommend it if you thought Slayers was a little bit funny.

Card Captor Sakura - The girliest show in existence. Yu-Gi-Oh! + Revolutionary Girl Utena.
This completes the 'Trinity of Animation'. The first episode, Sakura does this backflip onto the FLY card that is just plain sweet. I watch it for the animation, seriously, even though the story is really better than I actually expected [especially since that God-awful dub destroyed the show's purpose]

Fruits Basket - Easily the greatest anime I have ever seen.
This show has a lot of strong points, bit of action, excellent characterization and plot, and purpose! Teaching real life lessons is something that I wish every show would do. You get a gold star, Fruits Basket!

Dragonhalf - "I don't like Cheesy Crackers!"
The absolute funniest. At a ridiculous 2 episodes, Dragonhalf cracked me up. I think I laughed the entire time...

Saber Marionette J - "I love you, Otaru!"
Listen well, people. This is Tenchi Muyo! done right. Great story and themes with a good plot and excellent antagonists. I love this show, really.
