INCREDIBLE! The Seyruun Princess is Down? Justice is Put on Hold!

Lina: Well, everyone's together here! What're we gonna do now?
Gourry: Can we play 'General Spork'?
All: -_-' NO, Gourry...
Ashi: Read to find out then!
Zelgadis: That was cheap...

[by Ashieyu]

Amelia sighed heavily as she came down for breakfast at the inn. She looked very tired and weak. Not in the eyes, really, but more of the way she carried herself, or lack of it. She took a seat between Zephyre and Zelgadis, who were both drinking coffee/tea, knowing better than to risk a limb in getting food. Amelia yawned and put her hands and head on the table and rested there. Zelgadis noticed her odd behavior from the rim of his cup. Why hadn't she joined the war they have EVERYTIME they sit down to eat? He put down his cup.

"What's wrong Amelia?"

"I'm just really tired," she explained with a few yawns. The real reason was that she was feeling quite warm at the moment...

"So tired you don't feel like eating...?" he questioned with a raised brow.

"Yeah." Zelgadis made a note to keep his eye on her today. Even for her, she was acting strange-

"MISS INVERSE!!!" yelled a man with brown hair, green eyes, and priest clothing. He bowed at her feet and while she wasn't looking, Gourry pilfering food from her plate. "Oh Miss Lina Inverse! Thank the gods I've found you! PLEASE, I need your help! I came all the way from Qadir! Please at least consider!"

"Woah, woah there bud. Just what's going on...and what do I have to do with it?" Lina asked, trying to shake the man off her foot. The guy let go and got up.

"Well, there's this samurai-looking gang wrecking havoc on our city, and my king told me to come find you. He said there's a money reward involved-" Lina immediately shook hands.

"You've gotta deal! Just lead the way!" Her strange reaction earned sweatdrops around the table.

"Lina," Zelgadis started out knowing, "Qadir is a city in the new world. It'll take us at least two days to get to out of the border, and we don't know how far it is from there."

"They city is close to the border. It'll only took me a day to get here-"

"How...just exactly how did you get here?" Zephyre questioned skeptically.

"I ran since yesterday morning," he answered sheepishly. Everyone fell back.

"So if we Raywing it halfway, we can make it there today!!!" Lina deducted. She snatched Gourry by the leg and began Raywing-ing it, with and unfazed Gourry still munching on a chicken leg. Zelgadis followed on a Raywing as well, Amelia behind him, carrying the priest on Levitation, and Zephyre after her, carrying a whaling Atalya on Gravitation.
* * *
Zephyre went ahead of Zelgadis and Amelia to speak with Lina, that left Amelia in the back. Zephyr noticed she was being a bit sluggish, but let it pass. Earlier, Amelia asked Zelgadis to carry the priest, Inteus, because she said she was falling behind, so he did. Once she said that, he started to look back and check on her periodically, but he could've swore overtime he looked back, she was falling behind.

"Inteus?! HOW much longer?!" Lina demanded impatiently.

"It think only a couple more hours...," he replied hesitantly. When Zelgadis sighed and looked back to check on Amelia, she was gone. He stopped. "AMELIA?!!! AMELIA?!!" The others heard his cries and came up to see what was wrong.

"NOW what?" Lina spat.

"It's Amelia, I turned around to check on her and she was gone."

"Well, LET'S LOOK FOR HER!!!" Atalya more decided than suggested. That's exactly what they did. They searched thoroughly through the area they first landed in then went back aways to look there. There just seemed to be thousands of haystacks, and no needle in sight.

"She could be anywhere," Zephyre fumed. "HOW are we going to find her out here."

"And this is getting us NOwhere nearer to my reward!" Lina complained.

"Amelia!" Zel called out and hurdled through trees and bushes to reach her fragile body, sprawled on the ground.

"THAT'S how we're going to find her, Zephyre!" Atalya beamed. "Just leave it to Mister Zelgadis!" Zephyre came up and bopped her in the head.

"Quiet you..."

Amelia, was apparently unconscious, from Zelgadis's expert observation. She appeared to be sweating. Wait a minute...sweating? Could she have a fever? In any case, Lina wasn't going to like it. Zelgadis felt her forehead...she was quite warm, and the sweat beading off of her head was moistening his fingers. Yep. She had a fever. Zelgadis raised up while wiping his hand off on his pants. "She has a fever."

"Oh WHY now?" Lina complained. "Zelgadis, you carry her! Now let's go!!!"

"Huh?" Zelgadis questioned. "Why me?" Lina had fire bursting in the back of her, some of the flames hit Gourry.

"Are you keeping me from my money?!" He looked a little uneasy.

"...of course not..."

"So, we have an understanding?"

"...sure," he sighed. Sometimes, he wished he could just Digger Bolt some sense into her.

Everything went back to normal after that....That is, if you call what they were doing normal, or calling the people normal. Lina started to start again, but tripped over a charcoaled Gourry when she turned around. "GOURRYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!! What ARE you doing?!" Lina queried.

"Uh....."

"NeverMIND! Just GET UP!!!" Everyone- -_- *sigh* Zelgadis scooped Amelia up onto his back and they began walking.
* * *
Lina- >_<# "INTEUS!!! You said we'd BE there be NOW!!!!"

"Miss Lina, please come down," Atalya woed. "I'm sure we're almost there. Right Zeph?"

"What do I look like? A map?" Zephyre retorted. Atalya's lip began to quiver, and her eyes started to water. Zephyre sighed in defeat. "...but if it makes you happy. *^_^* Of course, Atalya! We're almost there!" Everyone- o_o* Zelgadis came up to her, still carrying luggage named Amelia.

"This sux..."

"...sux ass..." They walked in silence a little further until Zelgadis spotted a certain someone to left of him, watching him in admiration. "What is it...?" he asked with a hint of fear in his voice.

"OH! You're so nice Mister Zelgadis!!! Carrying my friend like that!!!" Atalya gushed.

"HEY!!" Lina's voice stopped everyone. "Where's that Inteus guy?"

"Yeah, where did that odd-ball get to anyway?" Zephyre chimed in. There was strange atmosphere...Suddenly, a very large group of samurai-looking guys, dressed in black, surrounded them. Inteus was in the front, with the biggest grin planted on his face.

"Looks like you fell for my trap, Lina Inverse."

"I knew she was trouble from the beginning...," Zephyre mumbled to herself.

"Well, well," Lina grinned coolly, "this must be the welcoming committee...because there definitely aren't enough of you to ambush us." Inteus cringed.

"You'll be eating those words once I'm through with you. ATTACK!!!"

"Let's go Gourry!"

"Absolutely," he said, rather darkly. "Light, Come, FISH!!!" A fish popped out from his sword. EVERYONE fell over.

"You stupid jellyfish!" Lina yelled while kicking him in the face. "You've got the wrong episode!! Now put THAT away!!!" Gourry counted on his fingers for a moment, then:

"Oh yeah!" Everyone- -_-* "Light Come FORTH!!!" He earned another kick in the face from Lina.

"You dumb ass!!! You don't HAVE the Sword of Light anymore!!!" Lina- >_<#

"Oh yeah, I forgot..." Everyone fell back again. Gourry was now remaining weaponless.

So the battle ensued!!! Swords were clanging between there respected owners, Fireballs were heard, so were Atalya's attempts. Zelgadis was having an interesting time trying to keep away from the attacks of the opposition, trying to cast a spell when he could and trying to keep Amelia safe. Dodge, jump, duck, jump, dodge, duck, jump, dodge, jump, land. Zelgadis sighed. He was pretty far from the battle now, there couldn't be any out here...he couldn't have been more wrong. "EEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHH!!!" A little samurai jumped out from a tree, sword poised to attack. Zelgadis's mind froze, until he curled into a ball with a Amelia in his arms. Of course! He was part rock Golem...only way to kill him with a sword, was the Sword of Light...but that was long gone.

Moments went by...no contact, no cling of the blade, no echoing cling or the sword being crumbled by his body. Wait...he could sense a power...he looked up to see Zephyre, holding a barrier around them. "You want some help?"

"For the time being...," he mumbled. Zephyre looked around to see if everyone else was fairing pretty well. She spotted Lina...she was only using...FLARE ARROWS?! "Oh, the nerve of that greedy, no good, trouble-making...She was the one dragged us out here, AND she was the one complaining about how we better get there fast?! That's IT!!! Zel, you keep an eye out for yourself..." She ran a little ways to were Lina and Gourry were, and readied a Nova Sperse. "GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!" This surprised Lina and Gourry, because no one ever stopped them during a fight, really, so they stood there a little dumbfounded. Once Lina saw what she was doing, she hauled Gourry WAY to the side. "Nova....SPERSE!!!" Millions of little pellets swarmed the ground. Clouds, dust and debris from the attack were pushed upward, and the radius of the attack grew larger...until there was so much dust in that clearing that you couldn't tell where the forest and the clearing began or ended. Zephyre sighed and turned around...to see an angered Lina.

"Next time, WARN ME before you do that!!!"

"Oh whatEVER! I yelled for you to get out of the way LONG before I cast the spell!!!" Lina went to say something as Zephyr brushed past her, but nothing came.

"Wow, I never thought I'd live to see the day when someone told YOU off, Lina," Gourry commented. That earned ANOTHER kick, but in the fanny, from Lina.

"WHO asked YOU?!" Everyone sighed...that last attack that Zephyre used was quite a doozy and it was really not quite likely that ANY of the samurai guys survived, or Inteus.

"MISS LINA!!!" Everyone but Zephyre and Atalya looked over there shoulders bewilderingly.

"Fi-FILIA?!!!" Lina said in disbelief.

"Miss Lina!! I need to talk to you right away!!"

"IT can wait!!! I need to get to Qadir and see what the HELL that Inteus guy was all about-"

"That's IT! I will not stand for you to flagrantly disregard the important things I have to say!!" Filia teleported everyone to her mace/pottery shop.

"Oh WHY me..."
* * *
Filia had made some tea for everyone as they got comfy. "Even though I may not be an official priestess, I still keep some of the ways, "Filia started. "Yesterday, I got a premonition. From what I could interpret, it seems that the dualities of power in this world are slipping out of place, and I think it may have something to do with you, Miss Lina, or someone in this room."

"Well, I hope it's not me...I have enough people after, for some reason or other, "Lina said.

"I don't know anything else though...," Filia stated. Lina just about choked on her tea.

"That's IT?! You had more info on your last one!!! Don't you have ANY leads on this?!" Filia stood from checking Amelia's fever. "I really don't know, Miss Lina. It was so blurred...it's hard to tell if I interpreted it right."

"And so begins another wild goose chase that will lead to SOME kind of trouble," Zelgadis groaned from his chair.

"...so if we can question your interpretation, Filia," Lina smirked, "what makes you think your premonition wasn't just some spoiled tea before bedtime?"

"But she was right during the whole Darth Vader thing." Gourry seemed to come out of the blue with his counter. Everyone sweatdropped at his memory of names...Lina bonked him on the head.

"First of all, Gourry, it was DARKSTAR...second of all...I guess you're right..." The Slayers Crew was all wide-eyed from the remark of Lina, and Gourry's accuracy in remembering something.

"So we should follow Miss Filia, right Zeph?" Atalya queried.

"Well, do you know of any other leads?" Atalya grimaced. "It's not like you find world-saving, tea-obsessed dragons who have premonitions about this kinda thing everyday, Atalya." Zephyre seemed a little tense today and awfully aloof. She could tell because Zephyre hadn't scolded her at least a bajillion times by now.. It was like something was on her mind...." Are you all right, Zephyre?" The question of Atalya's seemed to catch everyone's attention. Zephyre paused.

"Of course! Why wouldn't I be?!"

"...because that's only the second time you've scolded her ALL day," Amelia said haughtily, and sitting up.

"Oh whatEVER! I'm just not in the mood-"

"Not in the mood?!" Zelgadis in mock-disbelief. "Dear GOD! There IS something wrong..."

"FINE!!" Zephyre yelled. "If I tell you will you LEAVE ME ALONE?!" They nodded with grins. Zephyre sighed. "When Filia brought up her vision being blurred, it reminded of my past. I can't remember anything but these images of me as a little girl of me crying and men coming at me with knives...and this sign on my neck always pops up...." Filia breathed in, deeply...

"YOU'RE A MAZOKU AREN'T YOU?!" Filia screamed at the top of her lungs. "ONLY DIRTY NO GOOD MAZOKU WOULD HAVE MEN CHASING AFTER THEM WITH KNIVES!!!!" Everyone fell over.

"Miss Filia," Amelia questioned. "Don't you think you're overreacting? I mean, Zelgadis is a chimera and you didn't think him to be of the Mazoku race..." This argument went on into late hours of the night, but it was inevitable that Filia could prove Zephyre a Mazoku. They'd soon make her see...but outside was a cheery little face, chuckling to himself. How he wished Xellos could see this!!! It was quite amusing to see four people needed to hold back a Ryuuzoku with a mace, but he knew...if they were to use Zephyre in their plans, she would need her memories...
