SURREAL! Fat Moti, the Infomercial King?

Xellos: That was a fun game, ne? ^__^
Ertai&Lina: >_<#####
Puju: ...we actually get to plot related stuff in this part!
Ashi: ...and foreshadowing of some stuff to come!

[by Ashi]

Visiting other dimensions and their people would be great, a once in a lifetime oppurtunity...but given the present situation, it was not the best of times.

Zelgadis looked around the room, clearly NOT amused. 'This isn't even funny to watch...' Given his demon part in being a chimera, he pin-pointed the place in which the 'illusions' were being generated: in the middle of the main room of the temple was a statue of a cloaked-being with a sickle. Zelgadis grinned. Sometimes he just loved what his body had to offer...
(<(((_-))>: But I still despise the way I look... Ashi: Quiet you!!) He dashed up to the statue, pulled out his sword, and called out, "ASTRAL VINE!!!", and an energy wrapped around his sword and he thrusted it at the statue. It took a few good thrusts, but eventually, the sculpture shattered within the explosion. All that was left was some cracked peices and some dust. Zelgadis stepped back and shaethed his sword. He gave a quick smile before turning to the others. The illusions had vanished. "Thank the-!!!! ZEPHYRe?!!?! LET GO OF MY LEG!!!!"

"NO!!! You MUST bring them back! They were so sensible and smart and----I COULD ACTUALLY MAKE INTELLIGENT CONVERSATION WITH THEM!!!!" Zephyre started to cry.

"Zephyre, I know how you feel but-"

"I KNOW you KNOW!!! So please, out of the goodness-I mean being a fellow sufferer, PLEASE DO THIS FOR ME!!! Just a couple of minutes..." Zelgadis hated to do it. He knew he shouldn't hit girls, but Zephyre was asking, needed it. He picked her up to stand and slapped her. "Would you get a hold of yourself?! I've been following these lunatics for I don't know how long..........and you don't seem ME complaining..."

"I guess you're right," Zephyre composed herself.

"That one guy I was talking to was really confusing," Gourry announced aloud.

"Oh yeah?! Well, we had to talk to Xellos's dubbed voice actor! YUCK!!" Atalya and Amelia said in unison.

"Whoa, I actually feel sorry for you guys," Lina confessed-O_O*. "How about you Filia?" Filia was in a corner, just on the brink of hyperventilation.

"I......need....TEA!!! MUST.............have............................herbal.....refreshment....to calm.........self........" Everyone-o_o*

"Well doesn't that just beat all...?" Zelgadis sighed.

"ANYway-" Lina was caught off by echoing laughter...

"Well, if it isn't the infamous Lina Inverse and her crew," the voice chuckled. HE appeared [Ashi: looks kinda like a genie, to me! Puju: -_-].

"You wouldn't by chance be-," Atlaya croaked.

"-Mahamoti Djiin, would you?" Amelia finished.

"What a great question!" he complimented. "Yes I am."

"HEY! I think I've seen this guy before..." Gourry pondered. Lina slapped him upside the head.

"You have NOT....Especially if I'VE never seen him before!"

"You're not going to kill us are you?!" Atlaya started to cry.

"Well, I wouldn't be following my orders then, would I?"

"Oh whatEVER!" Zephyre just about fell over. "That's the Djiin-guy so let's get this over with!!"

"Why do we have to do this ANYway?" Zelgadis queried skeptically.

"Because it's part of the plot(?)" Atlaya said her line rather confusedly.

"Who the HELL gave you that idea?!" everyone screamed at her. A puff of smoke revealed the 3 authors in the middle of the room.

"WE can answer that question!!" they said together.

"Ari chan, if you would do the honor...?" Puju said. Ari pulled out ans easal. On the first card it said:
~ The People Who Gave Atlaya the Idea!
By: The Authors 3~
Everyone but authors: O_O*. Ari took of the title card to reveal another. It said: "We". Then she took that one off to reveal three more cards and lined them up. SO it read:
~*~"We did, you %$#$!"~*~ Everyone but Gourry fell back, and the authors.

"Lina," Gourry started curiously. "What does '%$#$' mean?" Everyone fell back again.

"It means 'nothing' Gourry!"

"So, say if you asked me what I was doing, I could say '%$#$[%&&**&' because it means 'nothing' right?" Everyone fell back, AGAIN.

Ashi sighed. "Looks like our work is done here... ._.*" and the authors vanished.

"Well THAT was delaying enough," Lina said.

"It's almost as if the authors NEEDED to take up some space...," Zelgadis was hit in the back of the head with a thick, hard-back book, that made him fall over. Every1- o_o* Zephyre picked up the book and read the title: "Ways to Reverse Enchantment Spells (especially chimeras)". Before Zephyre could do anything else, a blue blur was seen and the book was gone from Zephyre's posession. Everyone sweatdropped as they looked over at Zelgadis; who was hunched over, flipping pages. Suddenly, Puju appeared again.

"Sorry Zel," he snapped his fingers and the book appeared in his hands, "but like you said, 'thousands upon thousands of fan girls can't be wrong'," and he vanished. Zelgadis sunk to his knees.

"OH wha-hi-hi-y me?!" <(((_T))>

"ENOUGH!!!!" Djiin yelled in frustration. "ENOUGH of this FOOLISHNESS!!!"

"I wonder how he plans to stop it with those crazy authors writing this?" Amelia queried aloud.

"I will show you!!" he boomed. "Bomb Di---------SASTER!!!" Everyone-O_O*fall over*

"WHAT kind spell is that?!" Lina asked, exasperated.

"Don't you think these authors could be a little more original?" Zephyre said.

"Well," Djiin began, "it can either be an offensive or defensive spell, and is WAY stronger than 'Bomb Di Wind'.......AND it cuts JULIENNE FRIES!!"

"I KNEW IT!!!" Gourry cried. "You're the Infomercial King, Fat Moti!!" EVERY1- O_O

"WOW! I didn't know people still knew about me," he said.

"Oh can we PLEASE get this over with...?" Filia whined.

"* 0 though all of you are my adoring fans, (every1 but (((_]: o_O: ALL...?) orders are orders and I must kill you, so Bomd Di SASTER!!" The attack was heading straight for Filia, and since she was lacking strength it would DEFINITELY hit her...well it would've if it wasn't for a well timed Gamma Sphere, courtesy of Zephyre. "WHAT?! Who DARES to challenge ME?!" Everyone pointed at Zephyre.

"Oh thanks, guys..." -_-* Fat Moti threw a 'wind ball' at her. Everyone lunged out of the way. 'Gravitation' was heard as the dust cleared...half of the room was demolished. Djiin threw another towards his left, and Zephyre appeared on his right. As he went on trying to hit her, debris was thrown in all directions, threatening anyone in the room to be hit/injured at any moment. Zephyre was done playing around...she would REALLY like to get it over with, and get out of this place. Zephyre threw a Nova Sperse at the ceiling above Djiin's head. It didn't collapse because of the power of the spell, but created a mist of dust. When he looked up, he was blinded. As soon as Zephyre was sure it would hold him for a while, she turned to the others. "WHAT'S YOUR GUYS'S DAMAGE?! WHY AREN'T YOU HELPING ME?!"

"But you seemed to be doing so well by yourself...," Lina replied sheepishly.

"Miss Zephyre-!!!" Amelia cried, trying to warn her that Djiin was all ready unfazed by the previous attack now, but she didn't hear her in time...SMACK! Zephyre was hit in the back and sent flying into the wall behind the gang. She then hit the ground with a dull thud.

Djiin smiled maliciously. "That's one down..." Lina cringed at the sound Zephyre's body made against the wall. She had a feeling this wasn't going to be that easy.

"We need to find out what his weakness is..."

Djiin's smile widened. "So, you want to figure it out? I'll even give you a time out for you to think." Zelgadis grimaced.

"Is it possible that he doesn't have a weakness? I mean, we don't know the first thing about this guy, or who he's working for."

"Remember, Mister Ertai said not to use Wind Magic. That would also rule out any other air magic of any sorts," Amelia brought up.

"Well that's just, DUH!" Lina remarked.

"So there's really only one way to find out...," Atlaya concluded. "We're gonna have to try everything until we get something!" Lina took a deep breath. This was going to be hard. Even if they didn't have the power the had to try...because she wasn't one to look for death, but victory.

"Zel, I want you to use a Dug Haut; Amelia: Rafas Seed.....and Atlaya?" Atlaya looked up with hopeful eyes at her idol. "Could you manage a sheild?"

"Of course Miss Lina!!!" Atlaya answered. She would've really wanted to attack like the others, but maybe if she proved herself now, Miss Lina would depend on her for bigger things.

Zelgadis was no fool. If he let Lina order him around now, she'd make an excuse of how her leader skills were good and they should listen to her and that would just be the beginning of people wallikng all over him. "Just who died and made you general?!"

"Oh come on, Zel, it's just a suggestion-"

"Like hell it is! I'm doing a Blade Haut."

"Yeah yeah, whatever...Ready Amelia?"

"I'm ready when you are!"

"Uh, Miss Lina? Can I be of any asisstance?" Filia came up.

"Yeah! What am I supposed to do?" Gourry asked.

"Oh yeah...," Lina rubbed her head sheepishly. "Filia, we'll use you as a last resort...and Gourry....!! You make sure no one ambushes us from behind!"

"Okay!" Gourry went to the rear excitedly to watch the sealed entrance to the room.

"...and keep an eye on Zephyre!"

"Right!"

"NOW, Amelia!" Lina signaled.

"Rafas Seed!!" the paralysis spell shot for Djiin. What they didn't know is that he was faking being affected for pure enjoyment. "Mister Zelgadis!!!" Zelgadis unsheathed his sword and called out, "Blade Haut!!!" and impaled the stone floor. Shockwaves emitted from the sword and the temple started to rumble. "Now Atlaya!! Set up the sheild!!" Thanks to the aging of the temple and teh previous atack on Zephyr's part, it was obvious some of the structure would collapse from Zel's attack, and right about now, they didn't need anymore fighter's down. Atalya cried out, "Magnitude's Screen!!" and a pale green light encircled the team. Meanwhile, Djiin went unfazed and was moving freely.

"You DO amuse me so," Djiin chuckled. "Try another spell, I dare you..." Lina's brow furrowed. Was he mocking the world's greatest sorcery genious? In any case, she didn't like his tone.

"Rune FLARE!!!" Numerous fire missiles were emanted from Lina's hands and headed for Djiin. He bellowed in laughter as they passed right through him and decimated the wall behind him, revealing another room. Everyone was dumbfounded, as well as their jaws were agape.

"I don't believe it," Zelgadis said, disturbed.

"Could it be possible that he's a spirit?" Filia suggested.

"But then, where's his physical body? It couldn't be on the Astral Plane, could it?" Amelia meekly contributed.

"I don't know," Lina said, "but if that's a spirit, then how about you and Amelia try a Ra Tilt, Zel?"

"GEEZE! What are you? A slavedriver?!!" Zel said incredulously.

"Would you just chill?! I only asked a favor!" Lina countered.

"Fine. I'll do it...but only because I want to live..."

'What IS his damage?!' Lina thought. Amelia and Zelgadis had finished the chant, and were about ready to actually release the spell, but Djiin released a Bram Gush before they could. His voice alone could rattle the ancient temple into oblivion. As his bomb of wind energy neared the sheild which Atlaya held, she braced herself. Atlaya put all her strength into it at the last minute, but sadly, as soon as the bomb hit, it exploded, and almost simutaneously obligated Altaya to let up from the impact alone. She was shot back, luckily Filia had stopped her.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, he just, overwhelmed me," Atlaya admitted. On the otherhand, Zel and Amelia and everyone else were fazed, one way or another. Fortunately, they didn't lose the Ra Tilt, and they fired it at the target. A huge blue flame errupted from their hands, letting them be the portal for the spiritual energy to flow. It didn't exactly pass through Djiin, but it didn't seem to strike him either. Before the marshy dust cleared, his booming voice echoed throughout the temple, and a force was traveling at them at a VERY fast speed. Someone's scurried footsteps were heard going to the front of the room, supposedly where Djiin was.

"REFLECT!!!" yelled a voice, and a murky light emanted from the clearing dust. Djiin's spell was heard reflected and destroying a wall to the left of them. As more of the dust cleared, the outline of the teammate was evident.

"ZEPHYRe?!??" an astonished Lina cried. "How the-"

"Hurry up and cast a FRICKIN' SPELL!!! I'm setting up a barrier!!" Zephyre demanded.

"Well, how about you use a Dragon Slave, Lina?" Gourry suggested.

"This may be a first, but, good idea Gourry!"

Djiin was all ready on the attack, trying to weaken their defense, sending out a ceaseless Bram Gush. His advance was seemingly stronger and Zephyre being injured wasn't helping the odds. "Altaya, get up here and help me!!"

"Coming Zephyre!" Altaya rushed up and casted a Barrier spell also to boost the defense of the one Zephyre had done earlier.

"Darkness beyond Twilight...," Lina began as her Demon Blood talisman began in unison with the spell. "...crimson beyond blood that flows..." Everyone readied themselves for the debris that would make its way. "...Buried in the stream of time is where your power grows...I pledge myself to conquer, all the foes who stand, 'with this mighty gift'(?) bestowed in my unworthy hands. Let the fools who stand before me be destroyed by the power you and I possess...DRAGON SLAVE!!!" [A/N: I hope the incantation was right...] the massive, red beam of light was hurled towards Djiin, just threatening anything that stood in its path. Djiin laughed.

"How foolish! You still haven't figured it out...VAN REHL!!" The well-handled spell surrounded and encased Djiin and string-shots of ice erratically shot out to the walls. As soon as one hit Lina's Dragon Slave, it froze. Every1-O_O?!?!???

"But...but, how?" Lina studdered. Djiin echoed with laughter as he busted out of his ice prison, shattering the frozen Dragon Slave. The last attack took out the rest of the remaining walls, so they were just battling for their dear lives out in the middle of nowhere, near a crumbled heap of old ruins. Makes it sound a lot better, ne?

Zephyre was pushing her limits, along with Atlaya. The barrier was still up, but in their faces, it showed it wouldn't be up much longer. Djiin's Bram Gush was still going, and not a single sign of him wavering. Lina bit her lip. 'What is with this guy? Why can't we even faze him? i hate to admit it, but this is NOT looking good for us-' The barrier was broke, and everyone was blown back. Djiin, again, chuckled maliciously.

"If you haven't figured it out yet, you're as good as dead!!"

Zephyre sat up and looked around. Everyone was so exhausted ans tired of not being able to land ANYthing on this guy...it was just frustrating to keep doing all this for nothing. Lina looked okay...if you wanna call having a hard time getting up, 'okay'. Zel, was just fuming, clearly mad. Everyone else was pretty good, and Atlaya was nowhere in sight. ??!!! "Altaya...?!" Zephyre whipped her head around in all directions to find her biast companion.
'Where'd she get to?! I let her help me ONE time and THIS is what happens. I'll never forgive myself...?!!!?' Zephyre spotted Atlaya several feet away from the group, apparently knocked out. Zephyre teleported over there. She noticed the others were distracting Djiin, indirectly, for her. Well, if that was the case, she'd check Atalya.

Minor scrapes and brusies......but a nice blow to the head, she bet. Blood was running from her hairline of her forehead and down into her hair. She picked her up and started to teleport, but was cut off because of Djiin with a Wind Blitz. It cut her left arm, and dropped Altaya's legs, then, consecutively let Altaya to the ground gently, as she went down. As Zephyre turned to get up, she was hit with another Wind Blitz, and it struck the same arm. She also heard someone call her name and a wind ball came straight for her. She casted a 'Celestial Conversion' right in time and cancelled the attack, but as soon as it cleared, a Damu Brass headed out. Zephyre couldn't do anything to dodge it, so she braced herself....Until Ertai showed up. He deflected the attack with his hand and it exploded miles away from the battle field. "Ertai, Ertai, Ertai...," Djiin mock-scolded. "What do you think you're doing?"

"You're not following through with your orders," Ertai said firmly.

"I'm just having a little fun. No harm in that."

"Lord Dynast is not pleased with your present act of aggression. Your insubordination WILL be dealt with," Ertai pointed his staff at him. An orange light emitted from it and hit the cocky guy. It didn't damage him, but he didn't look so confident anymore.

"What...what are you doing, Ertai?" Djiin queried rather hesitantly.

"Like I said, your insubordination WILL be dealt with...," he grinned evily then turned to Zephyre. "You need to use one of your higher level spells on him now."

"But-"

"I know, but just do it." Zephyre stood and began her incantation.

"From the energy that has cycled throughout the beginning of time; I claim thee," a red balls of energy emanted from her glowing hands, " I tame thee, I use thee....ECLIPTIC ORBIT!!!" Zephyre fired the ball at Djiin and it started revolutions around his waist. It became faster and faster until it looked like a straight line, and then, a burst of white light energy errupted from it.

"Ertai!! HOW could you let them?! DAMN YOU----------------------!!!!" and he vanished, as well as the attack. He was dead, and what a wonderful relief it was.

A pillar of light shown where he was defeated and a sword was there. As the light disappeared, it floated towards Gourry. He took it and examined it. It was black and had many symbols of "h's" all over it.

"Give me the sword, Gourry!" Lina snarled.

"NO WAY!!" and Gourry gripped it protectivley.
* * *
"...and the reason why you couldn't land any attacks on him was because he was actually made of the element air," Ertai finished up with a smile. Lina gritted her teeth and tightened her fist.

"I COULD KILL YOU!!! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US BEFORE?!?!?!??"

Xellos materialized, to their disadvantage. "Well, it just wouldn't have been as much fun to watch, Miss Lina." ^__^

Lina pulled at her clothing and sighed in irratation.->_< "When I get a hold of you.....YOU'RE GONNA WISH YOU NEVER SCREWED WITH ME!!!!" The evil glint in Lina's eyes raised, drastically, to a blood-thirsty killer out to seek revenge. Xellos opened his eyes to notice.

"My my, Miss Lina. You look awfully perplexed. A cup of tea would do nicely-" he was cut off by a fireball barely missing him.

^__^* "Hahaha, well, it's been great, but we'll be seeing you!!!" Ertai finished and left with Xellos.

"XELLOS!!! I KNOW you can hear me!! the next time you show up, YOU'D BETTER WATCH YOUR STEP!!! AND THAT GOES DOUBLE FOR YOU ERTAI!!!" Lina gave her war-like cry.

"Miss Filia? Are you all right?" Amelia asked. "You're shaking..."

"TEA....must have...............................tea............." Every1-o_o*

"Oh whatEVER! Besides, we need to tend to Atlaya."

"As well as that arm you're carrying her with," Zelgadis pointed out.

"Yeah yeah...................................?!!!"

"Give me that sword, GOURRY!!" Lina demanded.

"NO WAY!! It wouldn't just float to me for no reason, would it?!"

"Of course it would! It didn't realize that YOU'RE an idiot! Besides, I WANT IT!!!"

"I don't care!! It floated to me so I'm keeping it!!"

Lina- >_<####### "AAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!" she gritted her teeth. Every1- -_-*
